We copy docker.sock owner to symlinks. Permissions are not copied,
because the permissions will inherit from the target.
use versioned exec image to create symlinks
This is mostly a matter of moving some files, changing package names,
changing some imports, and changing some type references.
We duplicate the odd constant & global var, and the intmac/macint
functions, since neither 'router' or 'mesh' nor, really,' common' are
a natural home for them.
- Use git submodule for tools.
- Update Makefile to use submodules.
- Put submodule at tools/
- Tidy up some obsolete references to tools in .gitignore.
Without this, building with go-1.5 fails with
go get ./prog/weavewait
go install net: open /usr/local/go/pkg/linux_amd64/net.a: permission denied
This makes the options passed too "go get"/"go build" consistent for
all executables. So it should be safe with go-1.4.
When publishing pre-releases via the release script we do not want to
modify the `latest` tag in DockerHub - specifying UPDATE_LATEST=false
causes publish to push to $WEAVE_VERSION only. Omitting the flag
entirely retains the existing behaviour for backwards compatability.
- Nameserver holds a sorted list of (hostname, peer, container id, ip) tuples.
- Entries are gossiped using topology gossip / broadcast - only new/updated entries
are propogated as expected.
- Entries for a given peer are removed when the connection to the peer is lost.
- Entries are tombstoned when containers die. Tombstones are kept for 10mins,
as they do not need to survive partition, only gossip propagation delay.
- units.sh should exit on error.
- Add race detector to unit test runner.
- Use local testing/cover/cover tool in gen_coverage_report.sh and units.sh
- Use the scheduler to parallelise the unit tests.
- Make test run id a string and differentiate between unit runs and integration runs in the scheduler.
- Pipe circle env vars through to build container so we can detect when to use the scheduler
- Add python requests to the weave build container.
- Quote test names in urls, make flask handle url segments with slashes in.
