Just no-op instead.
This change is necessary because previously a recent build-tools
change no longer excludes prog/* from unit testing since other
projects actually do have genuine tests under there.
This is mostly a matter of moving some files, changing package names,
changing some imports, and changing some type references.
We duplicate the odd constant & global var, and the intmac/macint
functions, since neither 'router' or 'mesh' nor, really,' common' are
a natural home for them.
- Abide by gossip interface (return nil, not empty gossip) so gossip converges!
- Make sure we don't say an old entry version is new to us; add some more tests.
- Add dns test for 3 (or N) hosts
- Extend mock gossip router to ensure reconsumption off diffs yield nil
- Don't increment version when re-adding existing entry.
- show complete call stack of failures (this does include some of the
testing machinery, but a) is simple, and b) is guaranteed to not
miss important stack frames)
- add helper to run test with a timeout
- add AssertEqualuint64
So as not to pollute command-line flags with test.* options.
It appears that importing "testing" (from stdlib) will add flags. To
avoid this, we need code to not depend on testing. But, since
testing_utils was previously in the same package as the rest of the
code, it dragged testing in.
Renaming testing_util.go to e.g., util_for_test.go might be enough to
avoid it being compiled with the regular code. We may want it to be
available to tests for other packages -- after all it is utilities for
testing -- so it goes in its own package.
