Matthias Radestock eebb674232 simplify dns tests 
- use 'host' to lookup MX record. It's shorter
- use getent everywhere else for dns lookups, instead of dig; this
  tests more of the o/s name resolution machinery and is generally
  shorter.
- introduce assert_dns_record helper that performs forward and reverse
- lookup introduce some vars for holding constants, so we don't have
  to repeat them

Matthias Radestock a7c9fd272c add exec_on helper

hard-coded port) over and over again.

Matthias Radestock 123e8bbb28 reduce likelihood of IP clashes in tests & examples 
by using the 10.2 range, which is not one used by docker and also is
less likely than 10.0 to be used by something else.

Fixes #402.

Michael Bridgen 437b9d0ba2 Add tests for resolving names across hosts 
It's more precise to use dig rather than ping. The stock ubuntu image
doesn't come with dig (in package dnsutils), but luckily Aanand made
an image which is exactly ubuntu+dnsutils.
